ASK NYC: NYC Open Data Explorer by Tak Watanabe
Although open data is a valuable asset across various sectors and is intended to be accessible to all, it presents technical limitations that hinder effective utilization, particularly for non-technical users. This project seeks to overcome these barriers through a combination of artificial intelligence and best practices in data aggregation and visualization. As a proof of concept, the project focuses on developing an interface for NYC Open Data’s 311 complaint dataset, aiming to demonstrate whether users can effectively derive insights from the data.
