Fantastic Beasts from Asian Art by Qinglu (Luella) Lu

The first quantitative project collaborated with the Smithsonian. Fantastic beasts from Asian art and where to find them? This project is designed for people, especially children, who are interested in Asian art. For there are so many unreal mythical creatures in Asia, Such as Dragon, Taotie, Phoenix, and Serpent. By exploring the “animal” tag of the Freer Gallery collections, I want to introduce some interesting stories of animals, especially those mythical creatures. I am strongly inspired by a childish hand-drawn style, Hope that added some playfulness to this work.
