Exhibition Palettes by Lulu Tanenbaum
How does the theme of the annual Costume Institute exhibition, contribute to the visual identity? To explore this topic, I created a colour analysis to evaluate the associations of the colour based on the theme and question how the exhibitions compare over a five-year period of time. Due to this time span, I am comparing Camp: Notes on Fashion (2019), Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination (2018), Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garcons: Art of the In-Between (2017), Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology (2016) and China: Through the Looking Glass (2015).
